Olga returns! After her first collaboration with Bettina Reims, who released the limited edition 2008 hit The Book of Olga, the Russian heiress teams up with Ellen von Unwerth to work on The Story of Olga, a photographic narrative of the journey of Olga, a young widow who is overcome by unquenchable lust after the death of her rich, elderly husband. She seeks love, but finds it in the arms of an unlikely source, far from the wealth and extravagance to which she is accustomed.

It is Olga’s search that makes this tale very unconventional: she is the heroine who is not afraid of her lust, and it is her sensuality that leads her to the happy ending she so desires. Set in a magnificent castle replete with all the trappings of wealth and glamour, this joint project by Ellen von Unwerth and Olga Rodionova brings to life the enviable luxury of fairy tales and modern desires.

Von Unwerth’s team of artists on this project includes London-born Anne Trevelyan, a young stylist who creates a unique and appealing style that is dark, beautiful, provocative and sexually charged; and French set master and props extraordinaire Fabien Eisenstein, who is responsible for creating the pagan rituals and extravagant castle dinner scenes.
